SVG opens as a blank canvas

A blank preview can come from invisible styling, off-canvas geometry or an empty file. Inspect before changing the size.

Check what is in the file

Check whether any vector shapes exist.

Compare artwork bounds with the viewBox and look for clipping, opacity or white artwork. Bounds may be unknown for complex paths.

Make a safe correction

  1. Keep the original.
  2. Open a copy in a vector editor and select all objects to locate the artwork.
  3. Correct the canvas or styling that actually caused the blank result, then export and inspect again.
