Cricut SVG not cutting a shape: inspect the outline

Look for an open path or a score guide assigned to Cut. The appearance alone cannot establish the cause.

Check what is in the file

The checker distinguishes open and closed subpaths where it can parse them.

A thick visual stroke can still be a single centreline in cutting software.

Make a safe correction

  1. Inspect the exact path in a vector editor.
  2. Close an outline only when that matches the intended shape; do not close an intentional score line.
  3. Assign score and cut operations separately in the destination software.
