SVG opens in my browser instead of cutting software

The browser may simply be the default app for SVG files. The icon does not determine the format.

Check what is in the file

Check that the saved filename ends in .svg.

Use the checker if you suspect the download is an HTML page instead of SVG.

Make a safe correction

  1. Open your cutting software first.
  2. Use its Import, Open or Upload command and select the saved file.
  3. Check the imported dimensions and operations.
