SVG opens in a browser: file type or wrong app?

An SVG opening in your browser does not mean the file is HTML. Check its extension and import the saved file from your cutting software.

Check the saved file

Look at the complete filename, including the extension. A browser icon can be the operating system’s association for .svg files. It does not change the file’s format.

Open from the destination application

Start the software you intend to use, choose its Open, Import or Upload command, and select the saved .svg file. Renaming HTML or PNG to .svg does not convert it.
